Day 003: Haircuts, showers and cell searches

August 24, 2008 | Sunday

IT’S SUNDAY AND nothing happens today, only haircuts, showers and cell searches. Will mostly read and sleep today. I was told by the cellblock officers to get ready to shower, however a swarm of officers wearing gloves have entered to “cell search” the opposing sections. Such is life.

    Yes, such is life…
But should it be that way ?
I am wondering which book you are reading?

    F, J.-F., V. & L., in thoughts with you

well my name is byron and they call me deps im 18 yrs old!
no i dont gang bang, i think thats really stupid !
but my reason to writing here is that i just got out of chino state prison and its nothing like what you hear in the streets, i was in for conspiracy to murder, i am a 2 time felon and if i was to get convicted for this it would have been my 3rd and i would have been serving a life sentece !
all i can say is that life in jail is hell, its nothing like home, i missed thing only, the girl i had before going in !
    i only did about a 1 1/2 yrs !
i went in when i was 16 1/2 ! i was in juvy for a bit until they emancipated me and charged me as an adult, they could never find any hard evidence on me so after a 1yr and a hlaf they decided to let me go !

Hi deps ! it’s really good to find your words in Roy’s journal. He will understand what you mean, for sure. He would tell you : “stay out of trouble, man !” I am really glad you are out of prison, deps. Take care.

  4. Françoise Says:

    Hello, Deps,
It’s very touching to read your testimony. I hope you will have the possibility to follow our friend Rogelio on his difficult road. Reading his daily messages is a true teaching for all of us. He is a so strong, sincere, courageous and charming person. Be a good boy, Deps. And … “Thank you for coming” (as use to tell me my second son, Vincent, everytime he comes home for lunch or dinner, when he leaves after a good meal…)
Yes, I am joking but it’s one of the way Rogelio choosed to go ahead. He has a fantastic sense of humour, too.
